Unripe jackfruit has a mild flavor and meat-like texture, is used as a vegetable in curry curry dishes with spices in many cuisines. The boiled young jackfruit is also used in salads, as side dishes, as fillings for cutlets & chops. It may be used by vegetarians as a substitute for meat.
